Let's Talk

Dear dear friend,
There is so much I'd love to say to you and yet I hold back. I'm not sure why I feel intimidated or embarassed about opening up to you but maybe I will try. Please be patient with me as I try to express some of my heart felt emotions.
The world can be a dark place. Day in and day out we hear of crime, crooked politicians, violence and stories of people in dark dark places. If we look at our world around us we can get very very discouraged. Lately in the news our innocent children are missing, tortured and/or murdered...innocent little children! But, this is not new. This has been happening for years and years it is just that our media is now discussing it. How does a human being hurt a little child or for that matter how do they hurt a little animal? But, it happens...they are out there. We rub shoulders with these kind of people in our daily lives and don't even know it.
But, I have to say that even though we live in a dark world there is hope. I have a true and deep faith in my Father in Heaven. I know in my heart of hearts that there is true justice. That if a dark person seems to get away with their actions here on earth they still must stand before their Maker. I believe that God does not want us to live in fear, feel defeated, or be discouraged. I believe He wants us to give to Him our worries and our cares and I believe He does not tire of hearing from us. But that's just me. I can say this too...that if I didn't believe that there is true justice in the "hereafter" I could not live in this world.
I have to believe that those in dark places do not "get away with" their evil deeds. I feel that God is still God and He is in control of everything. That may seem naive to some but, that is how I feel.
I'm not sure if you've ever heard this song but it is a beautiful song. "He'll Do It Again." Here are the lyrics:
Lyrics:VERSE 1
You may be down and feel like GodHas somehow forgotten
That you are faced with circumstancesYou can't get through
But now it seems that there's no way out
And you're going under
God's proven time and time again
He'll take care of you
CHORUS
And He'll do it again
He'll do it again
If you'll just take a lookAt where you are now
And where you've been
Well hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again
VERSE 2
God knows the things you're going through
And He knows how you're hurting
You see he knows just how you're heartHas been broken in two
But He's the God of the stars, of the sun and the sea
And He is your Father
You see He can calm the storm
And He'll find some way to fix it for you
CHORUS BRIDGE
Oh He's still God
and He will not fail you
Oh He's still God
and He will not change
Know, Know that He's God
and He's fighting for you
Yes, just like Moses,
just like Daniel,
And just like Shadrach and Meshach, Abednego
CHORUS TAG
You may not know how
And you may not know when
You may not know how
You may not know when
But I know that He'll do it again
He'll do it again, again

  3. Very meaningful, Janet. My husband happens to work for a TV station here in OKC, and even he is constantly complaining about all the negativity in the news. He tried to do a "feel good" story one time about a homeless man and the church that took him in, but the story was turned down. The media will not blink an eye, however, when they can create a big stir about those people who want to get rid of all the Christmas decorations and symbols that relate to the birth of Jesus. Oh well, sometimes the cruelty in our world is hard to bear, but we know there is something better.

    Have a great evening! - Keri -
