Shabby Chic Bedroom

A pretty pink chandelier A lovely painted window (from my sister)and a lavender chandelier. The story behind this chandelier is awesome. I bought this for my mother when I was 15 yrs old and working as a waitress. She passed away when I was 30 and I never knew what happened to this. Come to find out my brother had it in his closet and years later it was given back to me. My husband cleaned it up and now it is hanging in my home. I bought this in an antique store recently. I had no clue what I would do with it and yet here it is hanging with a few of my special things. This is a night stand with my new perfume "Fancy Love" that my husband bought me. There is also a wedding photo (21 yrs ago) of me and my sweetie. The night stand table linens are from Pier 1. This adorable floor lamp was made and hand painted by my sister. I covered the shade with wallpaper samples, blinged it out and topped it with a shade necklace that I made. This little tea set was given to me last Christmas by a loving neighbor This is a little corner shelf that has a few of my favorite things. On the top shelf are two crowns my sister made me. We have this "Queen of all things" attitude between the two of us. She also gave me the two victorian dolls. My sweet husband gave me the Royal Doultan pieces on the top two shelves and my sister gave me the "tea for one" Royal Doultan on the bottom shelf. Here are some photos of a Shabby Chic bedroom in my house. I am not an interior designer but I do love fixing my home up.

  1. My goodness, your home looks like a Victorian Bed and Breakfast! You have so many beautiful things to display. I have a 10-year-old (Hunter, whom I mention quite frequently in my blog), as well as two very large Greyhounds. I have to keep the niceties to a bare minimum in my house, or they would be broken treasures. :) One thing I really liked is your hand-painted birdhouse lamp. Your sister is very talented, as you are.
