I Love Birds

These little birds were purchased at the Dollar Tree yesterday. I went there to buy loads of items to put my best friends son's care package. He is in Afghanistan. I came across these little birds and could not resist them. I have them on a table with my two new orchids (that need TLC) on my back porch.

I bought these little birds from Kohls a while back. They are on another table on the back porch. The orange place mats were purchased from Dollar Tree yesterday.

This little guy was purchased from one of my favorite stores yesterday (Country Charm). I wasn't really feeling very well but needed to get this package to the post office. So, while I was out I took a quick trip to this little shop. This little bird only cost me $5.00

Here is how the little table looks.

A little note: The birds finally found my bird feeder yesterday. At one point in the afternoon there was probably 12 or more trying to get to it. Also, a bird is making a nest in my birdhouse. Yesterday and this morning he has been flying back and forth with little twigs in it's mouth. I stopped counting all the trips he has been making. The birdhouse is kinda high so I can't see in it. I did try to take photos of him this morning but it's pretty cloudy out. Hopefully, I can get pictures another day when it's bright and sunny out.

  1. I love birds too....We have several feeders in our yard. The hardest thing is to keep the squirrels from emptying them!!

  2. I love all of your birds and your palcemats. They are all wonderful. Isn't Dollar Tree just the most fun place. I have a ball in there, finding the neatest treasures. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs, Marty

  3. I love going to the dollar stores...I find so many things there that end up repurposed into art!
And I love the little birds too--I am always on the outlook for cute bir figurines; wish they made parakeet figurines!!!
I could not put my feeders out before winter due to knowing I would not be able to keep them full after surgery, and I miss the birds so. I had one lone male cardinal the other day; this bright spot of red in a muddy landscape! So gorgeous!
    Take care!!!

That's great news about the birds feeding and making a nest. How exciting to be able to watch all the comings and goings.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment about my challenge. Really appreciate it. :)
